Trader's Paradise

From July 27- August 3rd I was in Delray Beach, Florida for Trader's Paradise! For Day's 38-48 of this account challenge I was mostly focused on the Trading Conference and prepping for it, so I decided to make one big blog post about those past 10 trading days.

Day 38, 7/19... Adding Day Trading: So on 7/19 I decided that it was time to add some Day Trading strategies to this $500 Account Follow Along. The past 37 trading days for this portfolio we've exclusively been using and learning Jay's Technical Analysis based strategy and have been in the green the whole time. The reason for adding some day trades into the mix is due to our swing strategy being a bullish based strategy (we don't plan on shorting stocks in this follow along educational account yet) and the market not being favorable for long term bullish swing trade setups at the moment.

Day 39, 7/22... No FOMO On $CRM: We stopped out of our $CRM trade at $247.06 on 7/18. We followed our plan, and our stop loss limited our risk. No reason to FOMO on what "could have been". The best thing we can do in these situations is write it down in our notes, and see what we can learn from this trade!

Day 40, 7/23... Selling $CCL: We had already locked in profits at Target 1 for $CCL, but we still had 1 share remaining for target 2. I decided to sell at $19.29, even though it was $0.35 below target 2. I wanted to lock in the profits and free up the buying power. It worked out, because as of 8/05 $CCL is at 14.49!!

Day 41, 7/24... Lazy Day In The Market: Didn't make any trades, just let my open trades sit. I was busy working that day and getting everything prepped for Trader's Paradise!!

Day 42, 7/25... Buying $HPE: Got into our $HPE Trade, nothing else really to report for this day other than getting packed for Trader's Paradise!

Day 43, 7/26... New Trade Ideas: We posted some new trade ideas for $BYND, $HOOD and $GEVO, view them below!

Day 44-Day 48, 7/29-8/02... Traders Paradise 2024: For this week I was super busy with Trader's Paradise 2024 in Delray Beach, FL!

We had an AMAZING TIME meeting everyone in person!! We had live trading, education and amazing community building experiences!

SYM Trade Stopped Out: I ended up letting a trade that was in profit go to a loss overall (after a bad earnings) due to not using stop losses. Thanks to TraderSync I can write this in my notes under “mistakes” to learn from this, and make stricter trading plan rules

I also entered a $HOOD and $CRM trade on the discord. I ended up stopping out of both, but lost more than the intended $5 per trade due to once again not having a stop loss set, as I was in Florida. Once again, this loss is another opportunity for me to use TraderSync to truly hold myself accountable and learn how to make sure these don’t repeat.
